### sec.245XM Notice of proposed fencing work
If an owner must give notice of proposed fencing work under division 3 , the notice must be in the approved form and state the following—
a description of the fencing work proposed to be carried out, including the design, dimensions and materials to be used;
if the fencing work is to construct or replace a dividing fence, the line on which it is proposed to construct or replace the fence;
A dividing fence must ordinarily be constructed on the common boundary.
if entry is needed to an adjoining owner’s land—
a description of the parts of the land to which entry is proposed; and
the proposed times of entry.
Subsections (3) and (4) apply if—
an owner may, under this part, seek a contribution from another owner for carrying out fencing work; and
the owner proposes to seek the contribution from the other owner.
The notice must also state the following—
the estimated cost of the fencing work to be carried out including the cost of labour and materials;
the proposed proportions of contribution.
An adjoining owner may contribute by a payment of an amount or provision of labour or materials.
The notice must be accompanied by a copy of at least 1 written quotation stating the estimated cost of the fencing work to be carried out.
