### sec.30 Magistrates Court may approve change of eligible child’s name A Magistrates Court may, on application by an eligible person for an eligible child, make an order approving a proposed change of name for the child if— the name is not a prohibited name; and the court is satisfied that the change is in the child’s best interests. - (a) the name is not a prohibited name; and - (b) the court is satisfied that the change is in the child’s best interests.
