### sch.3-sec.56 Existing authorised persons under Plant Protection Act 1989 This section applies to a person who— before the commencement, was appointed under the Plant Protection Act 1989 as an authorised person; and still held the appointment immediately before the commencement. On the commencement, the person is taken to hold office under this Act as an authorised person for this Act on the conditions stated in the person’s instrument of appointment under the Plant Protection Act 1989 . (sch.3-sec.56-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who— before the commencement, was appointed under the Plant Protection Act 1989 as an authorised person; and still held the appointment immediately before the commencement. (sch.3-sec.56-ssec.2) On the commencement, the person is taken to hold office under this Act as an authorised person for this Act on the conditions stated in the person’s instrument of appointment under the Plant Protection Act 1989 . - (a) before the commencement, was appointed under the Plant Protection Act 1989 as an authorised person; and - (b) still held the appointment immediately before the commencement.
