### sec.111 Stay of operation of disputed decision
If an application is made under this division for review of a decision (the disputed decision ), the applicant may immediately apply, as provided under the QCAT Act , to QCAT for a stay of the disputed decision.
QCAT may stay the disputed decision to secure the effectiveness of the review and any later review by QCAT.
A stay—
may be given on conditions QCAT considers appropriate; and
operates for the period fixed by QCAT; and
may be revoked or amended by QCAT.
The period of a stay under this section must not extend past the time when the chief executive reviews the disputed decision and any later period QCAT allows the applicant to enable the applicant to apply for a review of the chief executive’s decision (the reviewable decision ).
The making of an application for review of a reviewable decision affects the reviewable decision, or the carrying out of the reviewable decision, only if the reviewable decision is stayed.
