### sec.51 Effect of care agreement
While a care agreement for a child is in force, the chief executive (child safety) has custody of the child and may place the child in care under the Child Protection Act 1999 , chapter 2 , part 6 , division 4 .
The Child Protection Act 1999 , sections 74 , 90 and 162 apply as if a reference in the sections to a care agreement included a care agreement under this Act.
