### sec.353 Eligibility for persons currently in suitable adoptive parents register This section applies to a person if, immediately before the commencement, the person’s name was entered in the suitable adoptive parents register. The amended Act applies in relation to the person’s eligibility to have the person’s name remain in the suitable adoptive parents register. Without limiting subsection (2), the amended Act applies in relation to the person’s eligibility even if the person is the subject of a show cause notice under section 146 to remove the person’s name from the suitable adoptive parents register under section 146(1). In this section— amended Act means this Act as amended by the Adoption and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2016 . s 353 ins 2016 No. 57 s 65 (sec.353-ssec.1) This section applies to a person if, immediately before the commencement, the person’s name was entered in the suitable adoptive parents register.
