### sec.307J Children must not be compelled to give evidence
A child must not be compelled to give evidence in an adoption proceeding.
Without limiting subsection (1) , the tribunal may not require a child to do either of the following under the QCAT Act , section 97 (1) —
attend a hearing of an adoption proceeding to give evidence;
produce a stated document or other thing to the tribunal.
Before a child gives evidence in an adoption proceeding, the tribunal must satisfy itself that the child is willing to give the evidence.

(sec.307J-ssec.1) A child must not be compelled to give evidence in an adoption proceeding.
(sec.307J-ssec.2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the tribunal may not require a child to do either of the following under the QCAT Act , section 97 (1) — attend a hearing of an adoption proceeding to give evidence; produce a stated document or other thing to the tribunal.
(sec.307J-ssec.3) Before a child gives evidence in an adoption proceeding, the tribunal must satisfy itself that the child is willing to give the evidence.
