### sec.304 Advertisements and other published matters
A person must not publish an advertisement, news item or other material stating that—
a parent of a child wishes to have the child adopted; or
a person wishes to adopt a child; or
a person is willing to negotiate, or make an arrangement, for the adoption of the child.
Maximum penalty—
for an individual—150 penalty units or 18 months imprisonment; or
for a corporation—1,000 penalty units.
Subsection (1) applies whether or not the statement relates to a particular child and whether or not the statement relates to a child who has been born.
