### sec.254 How request for information is made
A request for information under division 2 or 3 must be made by—
giving the chief executive a signed request in the approved form; and
producing for the chief executive’s inspection the documents prescribed under a regulation relating to the person’s identity.
Before granting a person’s request for information about another person, the chief executive may also require the first person to produce reasonable proof of the first person’s relationship to the other person by giving the chief executive particular information or producing a particular document for the chief executive’s inspection.

(sec.254-ssec.1) A request for information under division 2 or 3 must be made by— giving the chief executive a signed request in the approved form; and producing for the chief executive’s inspection the documents prescribed under a regulation relating to the person’s identity.
(sec.254-ssec.2) Before granting a person’s request for information about another person, the chief executive may also require the first person to produce reasonable proof of the first person’s relationship to the other person by giving the chief executive particular information or producing a particular document for the chief executive’s inspection.
