### sec.238 Child can not be compelled to give evidence
In a proceeding, a child may only be called to give evidence with the leave of the Childrens Court.
The court may grant leave only if the child—
is at least 12 years; and
is represented by a lawyer; and
agrees to give evidence.
If the child gives evidence, the child may be cross-examined only with the leave of the court.

(sec.238-ssec.1) In a proceeding, a child may only be called to give evidence with the leave of the Childrens Court.
