### sec.192 Custody and guardianship if no guardian under Commonwealth Act
This section applies if there is no guardian of the child under the Immigration (Guardianship of Children) Act 1946 (Cwlth) .
From the child’s arrival in Queensland—
the chief executive has guardianship of the child; and
the prospective adoptive parents have custody of the child, subject to an order under section 194 .
(sec.192-ssec.1) This section applies if there is no guardian of the child under the Immigration (Guardianship of Children) Act 1946 (Cwlth) .
(sec.192-ssec.2) From the child’s arrival in Queensland— the chief executive has guardianship of the child; and the prospective adoptive parents have custody of the child, subject to an order under section 194 .
- (a) the chief executive has guardianship of the child; and
- (b) the prospective adoptive parents have custody of the child, subject to an order under section 194 .
