### sec.71 Giving of cultural heritage study to chief executive for recording
The sponsor may give the cultural heritage study to the chief executive to record its findings in the register when the sponsor is satisfied that—
the study has been completed to the extent that is reasonably practicable in the circumstances; and
the study’s findings are in order for recording in the register.
The chief executive may, under this part—
record the findings of the study in the register; or
refuse to record the findings of the study in the register.
Subsection (2) does not authorise the chief executive to assume the role of an endorsed party for the study for assessing the level of significance of areas and objects included in the study area that are or appear to be significant Aboriginal areas and significant Aboriginal objects.
(sec.71-ssec.1) The sponsor may give the cultural heritage study to the chief executive to record its findings in the register when the sponsor is satisfied that— the study has been completed to the extent that is reasonably practicable in the circumstances; and the study’s findings are in order for recording in the register.
(sec.71-ssec.2) The chief executive may, under this part— record the findings of the study in the register; or refuse to record the findings of the study in the register.
