### sec.161 Confirmation of ownership of Aboriginal cultural heritage before commencement
This Act is not generally intended to interfere with ownership of Aboriginal cultural heritage established before the Act ’s commencement.
A person’s ownership of Aboriginal cultural heritage is confirmed under this Act if, immediately before the commencement of this section, the person was the owner of the cultural heritage.
Subsection (2) does not apply to Aboriginal cultural heritage if, under part 2, division 2 or 3, it becomes owned by Aboriginal people who have a traditional or familial link with it.
(sec.161-ssec.1) This Act is not generally intended to interfere with ownership of Aboriginal cultural heritage established before the Act ’s commencement.
(sec.161-ssec.2) A person’s ownership of Aboriginal cultural heritage is confirmed under this Act if, immediately before the commencement of this section, the person was the owner of the cultural heritage.
