### sec.10 Entry upon indigenous local government areas etc.
A police officer is entitled to enter on and to be in an indigenous local government area—
for the purpose of discharging or exercising a function, duty or power imposed or conferred on the officer by law; or
for the purpose of performing any act or thing that the officer is by this Act authorised to perform pursuant to an authority or requirement of a local law of an indigenous local government;
and, in the case referred to in paragraph (b) , the officer shall be deemed to be acting in the discharge of the officer’s duty as a police officer.
