### sec.273 Commissioner of police service to provide criminal history
The chief executive may ask the commissioner of the police service to give the chief executive a report about the criminal history of a person visiting, or who has applied to visit, a detention centre.
The commissioner must give the chief executive a written report about the criminal history that—
is in the commissioner’s possession; or
the commissioner can access through arrangements with the police service of another State.
The information in the report may include a reference to, or a disclosure of, a conviction referred to in the Criminal Law (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Act 1986 , section 6 .
In this section—
criminal history , of a person, means—
the offences of which the person has been convicted; or
the court briefs for the offences.

(sec.273-ssec.1) The chief executive may ask the commissioner of the police service to give the chief executive a report about the criminal history of a person visiting, or who has applied to visit, a detention centre.
(sec.273-ssec.2) The commissioner must give the chief executive a written report about the criminal history that— is in the commissioner’s possession; or the commissioner can access through arrangements with the police service of another State.
