### sec.56 Prohibited acts A person must not do, or attempt to do, a prohibited act in relation to land within the Wet Tropics Area, unless the person is the holder of a licence, permit or other authority— issued or given by the Authority under a regulation; or issued or given by the Governor in Council under another Act. Maximum penalty—3,000 penalty units, imprisonment for 2 years or both. To remove any doubt, subsection (1) does not affect any rights that Aboriginal people have in relation to forest products under another law.
