sec.34Protection from liability

### sec.34 Protection from liability This section applies to— an authorised officer; and a person acting under the direction of an authorised officer. The person does not incur civil liability for an act or omission done honestly and without negligence under, or for the purposes of, this Act. A liability that would, but for this section, attach to the person attaches instead to the authority. This section does not apply to a person if the person is a prescribed person under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 267 . s 34 amd 2014 No. 59 s 173 ; 2022 No. 34 s 365 sch 3 (sec.34-ssec.1) This section applies to— an authorised officer; and a person acting under the direction of an authorised officer.
