### sec.93 How to decide whether an individual is an appropriate person
In determining whether an individual is an appropriate person for the purpose of this division, an authorised officer may have regard only to—
whether the individual demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the obligations of an approved shooting club and the individual’s proposed position under this Act; and
whether the individual is a person of good repute; and
whether the individual is the holder of a licence.
The authorised officer may obtain—
a report from the commissioner about the criminal history of the person; or
if the person holds or previously held in another State a relevant licence, permit, authority or position—a report from the appropriate authority in the other State.
In this section—
criminal history , of a person, means the person’s criminal history within the meaning of the Criminal Law (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Act 1986 , other than a spent conviction.
