### sec.18A Additional application requirements for collector’s licence (weapons) for category H weapon
If the application is for a collector’s licence (weapons) or the renewal of a collector’s licence (weapons) and the licensee intends to possess a temporarily inoperable category H weapon, the application must include a current declaration signed by an approved historical society’s representative stating—
the applicant holds current membership with the approved historical society; and
the representative is satisfied that the applicant is a genuine collector of weapons.
Subsection (1) does not apply if the applicant is an approved historical society.
A declaration mentioned in subsection (1) is current for 28 days after the day it is signed by the representative.

(sec.18A-ssec.1) If the application is for a collector’s licence (weapons) or the renewal of a collector’s licence (weapons) and the licensee intends to possess a temporarily inoperable category H weapon, the application must include a current declaration signed by an approved historical society’s representative stating— the applicant holds current membership with the approved historical society; and the representative is satisfied that the applicant is a genuine collector of weapons.
(sec.18A-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not apply if the applicant is an approved historical society.
(sec.18A-ssec.3) A declaration mentioned in subsection (1) is current for 28 days after the day it is signed by the representative.
- (a) the applicant holds current membership with the approved historical society; and
- (b) the representative is satisfied that the applicant is a genuine collector of weapons.
