### sec.168E Review of pt 5A
The Minister must arrange an independent interim review of the operation and effectiveness of part 5A as soon as practicable after the day that is 2 years after the day the part commences.
Also, the Minister must arrange a further independent review of the operation and effectiveness of part 5A as soon as practicable after the day that is 5 years after the day the part commences.
The terms of reference for each review must include reviewing—
the effectiveness of part 5A in achieving the purpose of the part and in preventing the acquisition, possession and use of firearms and firearm related items by persons subject to firearm prohibition orders; and
the effectiveness and appropriateness of part 5A compared to firearm prohibition order schemes in other jurisdictions; and
the effectiveness and appropriateness of the exercise of powers under part 5A , division 4 .
As soon as practicable after each review is finished, the Minister must table in the Legislative Assembly a copy of the review.
