### sec.141ZP How to start appeals
The appeal is started by filing written notice of the appeal with the registrar of the appellate court.
The notice of appeal must be filed within 28 days after—
for an appeal under section 141ZO (1) —the day the firearm prohibition order took effect; or
for an appeal under section 141ZO (3) —the day the decision being appealed against was made.
The appellant must—
for an appeal under section 141ZO (1) — serve a copy of the notice of appeal on the commissioner; or
for an appeal under section 141ZO (3) —
serve a copy of the notice of appeal on the individual to whom the decision being appealed against relates; and
file a copy of the notice of appeal in the court that made the decision.
The appellate court may, at any time, extend the period for filing the notice of appeal.
The notice of appeal must state fully the grounds of the appeal and the facts relied on.
