### sec.141X Collection of firearms in particular circumstances
This section applies if an individual—
gives a firearm to a police officer under section 141W (3) or (4) (a) ; or
complies with a direction under section 141W (4) (b) or (c) in relation to a firearm.
The individual may, within 3 months after the day the firearm is given to or seized by a police officer, make arrangements with a police officer for a licensed dealer or licensed armourer to collect the firearm if the individual—
has consigned the firearm to the licensed dealer or licensed armourer for sale; and
has given the police officer a copy of the transaction notification for the consignment.

(sec.141X-ssec.1) This section applies if an individual— gives a firearm to a police officer under section 141W (3) or (4) (a) ; or complies with a direction under section 141W (4) (b) or (c) in relation to a firearm.
(sec.141X-ssec.2) The individual may, within 3 months after the day the firearm is given to or seized by a police officer, make arrangements with a police officer for a licensed dealer or licensed armourer to collect the firearm if the individual— has consigned the firearm to the licensed dealer or licensed armourer for sale; and has given the police officer a copy of the transaction notification for the consignment.
- (a) gives a firearm to a police officer under section 141W (3) or (4) (a) ; or
- (b) complies with a direction under section 141W (4) (b) or (c) in relation to a firearm.
- (a) has consigned the firearm to the licensed dealer or licensed armourer for sale; and
- (b) has given the police officer a copy of the transaction notification for the consignment.
