### sec.141L Further firearm prohibition orders may be made
The expiry of a firearm prohibition order in relation to an individual does not prevent the commissioner or the court from making a further firearm prohibition order in relation to the individual.
Subsection (3) applies if an individual has been subject to a firearm prohibition order made by the commissioner within the previous 12 months.
Despite subsection (1) , the commissioner may not make a further firearm prohibition order in relation to the individual unless the commissioner reasonably believes an application to the court for a firearm prohibition order in relation to the individual under section 141M may not be decided sufficiently quickly by the court to ensure public safety or security.
The commissioner must apply to the court for a firearm prohibition order in relation to the individual under section 141M within 3 business days after the day the further firearm prohibition order is made under subsection (3) .
