### sec.138 Condition for collector’s licence (weapons)
It is a condition of a collector’s licence (weapons) that the licensee must not possess temporarily inoperable category H weapons unless the licensee is a member of an approved historical society.
It is a condition of a collector’s licence (weapons) that the licensee must not possess temporarily inoperable modern handguns.
Despite subsection (2) , an authorised officer may authorise the licensee to possess temporarily inoperable modern handguns if the authorised officer is satisfied that the licensee has a prolonged and genuine interest in the study, preservation or collection of firearms.
If the authorised officer authorises the licensee to possess temporarily inoperable modern handguns, the authorised officer must endorse the licensee’s licence accordingly.
