### sec.518 Starting an appeal to Planning and Environment Court
An appeal is started by—
filing a notice of appeal with the court; and
if the review decision being appealed against was about an original decision of the chief executive—serving a copy of the notice on the chief executive; and
if the review decision being appealed against was about an original decision of the regulator—serving a copy of the notice on the regulator; and
complying with the rules of court applicable to the appeal.
The notice of appeal must be filed within 30 business days after the appellant receives notice of the review decision appealed against.
However, the court may, at any time, extend the period for filing the notice of appeal.
The notice of appeal must state fully the grounds of the appeal and the facts relied on.

(sec.518-ssec.1) An appeal is started by— filing a notice of appeal with the court; and if the review decision being appealed against was about an original decision of the chief executive—serving a copy of the notice on the chief executive; and if the review decision being appealed against was about an original decision of the regulator—serving a copy of the notice on the regulator; and complying with the rules of court applicable to the appeal.
