### sec.495 Limitation on time for starting proceeding for summary offence A proceeding for a summary offence against this Act must start— within 1 year after the offence is committed; or within 1 year after the commission of the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the commission of the offence. - (a) within 1 year after the offence is committed; or - (b) within 1 year after the commission of the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the commission of the offence.
