### sec.483 False or misleading statements
A person must not state anything to the chief executive, regulator or an authorised officer that the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.
A complaint against a person for an offence against subsection (1) is sufficient if it states that the document was false or misleading to the person’s knowledge, without specifying whether it was false or whether it was misleading.
