### sec.480 Effect of enforcement order
An enforcement order may direct the respondent—
to stop an activity that constitutes, or will constitute, an offence against this Act; or
not to start an activity that will constitute an offence against this Act; or
to do anything required to stop committing an offence against this Act; or
to return anything to a condition as close as practicable to the condition it was in immediately before an offence against this Act was committed; or
to do anything to comply with this Act.
Without limiting the District Court’s powers, it may make an enforcement order requiring the repairing, demolition or removal or modification of a referable dam.
An enforcement order must state the time by which it must be complied with.
An enforcement order—
may be in terms the court considers appropriate to secure compliance with this Act; and
must state the day by which the order must be complied with.
(sec.480-ssec.1) An enforcement order may direct the respondent— to stop an activity that constitutes, or will constitute, an offence against this Act; or not to start an activity that will constitute an offence against this Act; or to do anything required to stop committing an offence against this Act; or to return anything to a condition as close as practicable to the condition it was in immediately before an offence against this Act was committed; or to do anything to comply with this Act.

- (a) to stop an activity that constitutes, or will constitute, an offence against this Act; or
- (b) not to start an activity that will constitute an offence against this Act; or
- (c) to do anything required to stop committing an offence against this Act; or
- (d) to return anything to a condition as close as practicable to the condition it was in immediately before an offence against this Act was committed; or
- (e) to do anything to comply with this Act.
- (a) may be in terms the court considers appropriate to secure compliance with this Act; and
- (b) must state the day by which the order must be complied with.
