### sec.102A Notice of prescribed incident
This section applies if a drinking water service provider becomes aware a prescribed incident has happened in relation to the provider or the provider’s service.
The drinking water service provider must, unless the provider has a reasonable excuse, immediately inform the regulator of the prescribed incident.
Maximum penalty—1,665 penalty units.
The drinking water service provider must, unless the provider has a reasonable excuse, give the regulator notice of the following in the approved form as soon as practicable—
the prescribed incident and the circumstances that gave rise to the incident;
any action taken, or to be taken, by the provider relating to the prescribed incident;
the measures the provider will take to prevent the prescribed incident happening again in the future.

In this section—
prescribed incident means an incident prescribed under a regulation.
