### sec.992O Relevant company may request water entitlement
This section applies if the chief executive and a relevant company agree to wholly or partly replace the company’s authority to take or interfere with water under a special agreement Act with 1 or more water entitlements.
The relevant company may request the chief executive to grant the company 1 or more water entitlements for the company’s take of, or interference with, water.
The relevant company may make more than 1 request under subsection (2) if the company wishes to replace the company’s authority to take or interfere with water under a special agreement Act in stages.
The request must include sufficient information to support the request.
If the relevant company makes a request under subsection (2) , the chief executive must, within 30 business days after receiving the request, grant the company a water entitlement or water entitlements in accordance with the request.
A water entitlement may be granted with or without conditions.
Chapter 2 , part 3 , division 2 , subdivision 2 does not apply to the grant of any water entitlement under this section.
