### sec.987 Limiting compensation for reduced value of entitlement to water Despite section 986 , compensation is not payable if the change has the same effect as another statutory instrument, in respect of which compensation is not payable. Also, compensation is not payable— for a matter under this part if compensation has already been paid for the matter to a previous owner of the authority to take water; or for anything done in contravention of this Act. If a matter for which compensation is payable under this part is also a matter for which compensation is payable under another Act, the claim for the compensation must be made under the other Act. (sec.987-ssec.1) Despite section 986 , compensation is not payable if the change has the same effect as another statutory instrument, in respect of which compensation is not payable.
