### sec.983K Failure to return suspended, cancelled or expired licence
Subsection (2) applies if an individual’s water bore driller’s licence has been suspended or cancelled or has expired.
The individual must, unless the individual has a reasonable excuse, return the licence to the chief executive as soon as practicable (but within 15 business days) after—
for the suspension of a licence—the day notice of the suspension was given to the individual; or
for the cancellation of a licence—the day notice of the cancellation was given to the individual.
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
If a licence has been returned to the chief executive under subsection (2) because of suspension of the licence, the chief executive must return the licence to the individual at the end of the period of suspension.

(sec.983K-ssec.1) Subsection (2) applies if an individual’s water bore driller’s licence has been suspended or cancelled or has expired.

- (a) for the suspension of a licence—the day notice of the suspension was given to the individual; or
- (b) for the cancellation of a licence—the day notice of the cancellation was given to the individual.
