### sec.976 Producing or displaying identity card A measurement contractor may exercise a power under this Act in relation to someone else only if the measurement contractor— first produces his or her identity card for the person’s inspection; or has the identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person. However, if for any reason it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) before exercising the power, the measurement contractor must produce the identity card for the person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity. s 976 sub 2003 No. 25 s 131 amd 2023 No. 24 s 75 s ch 1 pt 2 (sec.976-ssec.1) A measurement contractor may exercise a power under this Act in relation to someone else only if the measurement contractor— first produces his or her identity card for the person’s inspection; or has the identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person.
