### sec.783 Chief executive may take action and recover costs
If the person contravenes the compliance notice by not doing something, the chief executive may do the thing.
If the chief executive incurs expense in doing a thing under subsection (1) , the chief executive must give the person a notice stating the amount of the expense incurred.
Any reasonable expenses incurred by the chief executive in doing anything under subsection (1) , may be recovered by the chief executive as a debt due to it by the person.
A debt due under subsection (4) bears interest at the rate stated in a regulation.
