### sec.768 Criminal history is confidential document
A person must not, directly or indirectly, disclose to anyone else a report about a person’s criminal history, or information contained in the report, given under section 767 .
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
However, the person does not contravene subsection (1) if—
the disclosure is for the purpose of the other person performing a function under or in relation to this Act; or
the disclosure is otherwise required or permitted by law.
The chief executive or an authorised officer to whom the report or written information in the report is provided must destroy the report or information as soon as practicable after the authorised officer considers the risk mentioned in section 766 .
