### sec.762 Failure to produce document
A person of whom a document production requirement is made must comply with the requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
It is not a reasonable excuse for a person to fail to comply with a document production requirement because complying with the requirement might tend to incriminate the person.
However, if the person is an individual, evidence of, or evidence directly or indirectly derived from, the document that might tend to incriminate the person is not admissible in evidence against the person in a civil or criminal proceeding, other than a proceeding for an offence about the falsity of the document.
If a person is convicted of an offence against subsection (1) , the court may, as well as imposing a penalty for the offence, order the person to comply with the requirement.
