### sec.68 Making a water management protocol
The chief executive may make 1 or more water management protocols to implement a water plan.
A water management protocol must, for a water plan—
be consistent with the water plan outcomes and the measures that contribute to achieving them; and
achieve any objectives stated in the plan, including the water allocation security objectives and the environmental flow objectives; and
be developed with adequate consultation with persons affected by the protocol as it implements the plan.

(sec.68-ssec.1) The chief executive may make 1 or more water management protocols to implement a water plan.
(sec.68-ssec.2) A water management protocol must, for a water plan— be consistent with the water plan outcomes and the measures that contribute to achieving them; and achieve any objectives stated in the plan, including the water allocation security objectives and the environmental flow objectives; and be developed with adequate consultation with persons affected by the protocol as it implements the plan.
