### sec.598 Role of board The board of a water authority is responsible for the way in which the authority performs its functions and exercises its powers. Without limiting subsection (1) , it is the board’s role— to decide the objectives, strategies and policies to be followed by the authority; and to ensure the authority performs its functions in a proper, effective and efficient way. s 598 sub 2001 No. 75 s 81 amd 2003 No. 19 s 3 sch 2 ; 2003 No. 25 s 111 (1) (amdt could not be given effect), (2); 2013 No. 23 s 271 ; 2014 No. 64 s 150 sub 2019 No. 17 s 331 (sec.598-ssec.1) The board of a water authority is responsible for the way in which the authority performs its functions and exercises its powers.
