### sec.58 What is a water use plan
A water use plan is a plan that applies to a part of the State and advances the sustainable management of Queensland’s water by regulating water use if there is a risk of land and water degradation, including as a result of—
rising underground water levels;
increasing salinisation;
deteriorating water quality;
waterlogging of soils;
destabilisation of bed and banks of watercourses;
damage to riverine environment;
increasing soil erosion.
