### sec.371 When obligation to give underground water impact report does not apply—notice of closure This section applies if— a resource tenure holder is required under section 370 (1) to give the chief executive an underground water impact report; and before the report is given under that section, the resource tenure holder gives the chief executive a notice of closure for the tenure. Section 370 does not apply to the holder. However, section 370 does apply if, after the notice of closure is given, an application for renewal of the resource tenure, made under the relevant Act, is granted. In this section— relevant Act , for the renewal of a resource tenure, means whichever of the following Acts is relevant to the renewal— the Mineral Resources Act ; the Petroleum Act 1923 ; the Petroleum and Gas Act . s 371 prev s 371 om 2008 No. 34 s 714 pres s 371 ins 2010 No. 53 s 195 amd 2014 No. 64 s 82 (sec.371-ssec.1) This section applies if— a resource tenure holder is required under section 370 (1) to give the chief executive an underground water impact report; and before the report is given under that section, the resource tenure holder gives the chief executive a notice of closure for the tenure.
