### sec.35 Obtaining water information
The chief executive may give a person who is authorised, or has an entitlement, to take or interfere with water under this Act a notice requiring information—
the person is required to keep under a condition of the person’s authority or entitlement; or
about the person’s water use; or
about the water managed, taken or supplied under the person’s authority or entitlement; or
about the water that was managed, taken or supplied through water infrastructure to which a person’s authority or entitlement applies; or
about the taking or supplying of water by the person under the person’s authority or entitlement.
The notice—
may be given at any time; and
must state the reasonable time by which the information must be given to the chief executive.
The person must comply with the notice, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
However, this section does not require a person who is an individual to give information if giving the information might tend to incriminate the person.
