### sec.25X Protection of service provider from liability
Subsection (2) applies to actions taken by a service provider that are inconsistent with the service provider’s current supply and infrastructure contractual arrangements.
The service provider is not liable for loss or damage caused by taking the actions in compliance with—
a direction under a water supply emergency declaration or water supply emergency regulation; or
an approved water supply emergency response.
Subsection (2) —
applies only to the extent the service provider acted reasonably and without negligence; and
does not affect the service provider’s liability for negligence.
