### sec.193 Amalgamating licences
The holder of a resource operations licence may apply to the chief executive to amalgamate, into a single licence, the resource operations licence with another resource operations licence in the same water supply scheme.
The holder of a distribution operations licence may apply to the chief executive to amalgamate, into a single licence, the distribution operations licence with another distribution operations licence in the same water supply scheme.
An application under subsection (1) or (2) must be—
in the approved form; and
accompanied by the written consent of the holder of the other licence; and
supported by sufficient information to enable the chief executive to amalgamate the licences; and
accompanied by the fee prescribed by regulation.
If an application under subsection (2) relates to a distribution operations licence held by the approved nominee of the water infrastructure owner, the application must also be accompanied by the owner’s written consent to the amalgamation.
The chief executive must grant the application.
Within 30 business days after granting the application, the chief executive must—
give notice of the amalgamation to—
the applicant; and
the holder of the other licence; and
if the amalgamation relates to a distribution operations licence mentioned in subsection (4) —the water infrastructure owner; and
cancel the existing licences and give a new licence to the applicant.
The new licence takes effect from the day the notice is given.

(sec.193-ssec.1) The holder of a resource operations licence may apply to the chief executive to amalgamate, into a single licence, the resource operations licence with another resource operations licence in the same water supply scheme.
(sec.193-ssec.2) The holder of a distribution operations licence may apply to the chief executive to amalgamate, into a single licence, the distribution operations licence with another distribution operations licence in the same water supply scheme.
(sec.193-ssec.3) An application under subsection (1) or (2) must be— in the approved form; and accompanied by the written consent of the holder of the other licence; and supported by sufficient information to enable the chief executive to amalgamate the licences; and accompanied by the fee prescribed by regulation.
