### sec.187 Applying for transfer of licence
The holder of a resource operations licence or a distribution operations licence may apply to the chief executive to transfer all or part of the licence to another entity (the transferee ) that can hold the licence.
If a distribution operations licence is held by the approved nominee of the water infrastructure owner (the current infrastructure owner ), the current infrastructure owner may also apply, with or without the consent of the approved nominee, to transfer all or a part of the licence to the transferee.
The application must be—
made to the chief executive in the approved form; and
supported by sufficient information to enable the chief executive to decide the application; and
accompanied by—
the fee prescribed by regulation; and
if the application is by the approved nominee—the current infrastructure owner’s written consent to the transfer.

(sec.187-ssec.1) The holder of a resource operations licence or a distribution operations licence may apply to the chief executive to transfer all or part of the licence to another entity (the transferee ) that can hold the licence.
(sec.187-ssec.2) If a distribution operations licence is held by the approved nominee of the water infrastructure owner (the current infrastructure owner ), the current infrastructure owner may also apply, with or without the consent of the approved nominee, to transfer all or a part of the licence to the transferee.
