### sec.150 Amending water allocations
Subsection (2) applies if—
a water plan states that a water allocation must be amended; or
there is a change to the name of the water management area that includes the location from which water under a water allocation may be taken; or
there is a change to the name of the resource operations licence under which a water allocation is managed.
The chief executive must—
amend the water allocation in accordance with the plan or the change; and
within 30 days from the day the amendment takes effect, give the allocation holder a notice about the amendment.
On the day the water allocation is amended, the registrar must record on the water allocations register details of the amendment.
The amendment has effect on the day the registrar records the amendment in the water allocations register.
