### sec.136 Surrender of a water licence A licensee may surrender a water licence by giving the chief executive a notice of surrender. The surrender— takes effect on the date on which the notice to surrender is received by the chief executive; and does not affect in any way a duty under this Act about works imposed on the licensee before the surrender.
