### sec.1217 Process after transfer notice
This section applies if an authority is transferred from a transferring entity to a receiving entity under a transfer notice.
The chief executive may take the action that is necessary or convenient for the transfer of the authority under the transfer notice, including—
updating a register or other record; and
amending, cancelling or issuing another authority.
The chief executive may take action under subsection (2) although this Act does not provide for the taking of the action or provides for taking the action in a different way.
An authority is transferred from a transferring entity to the bulk water supply authority under a transfer notice. Acting under subsection (3), the chief executive grants to the bulk water supply authority a water licence to replace the authority, despite the provisions of chapter 2, part 6, division 2 applying to the granting of a water licence.

(sec.1217-ssec.1) This section applies if an authority is transferred from a transferring entity to a receiving entity under a transfer notice.
