### sec.317 Application for exemption from s 57 until 30 June 2029 This section applies to the operator of a levyable waste disposal site in existence at the commencement for which the operator holds an environmental authority for the disposal of not more than 2,000 tonnes of waste in a year at the site. The operator may apply to the chief executive for an exemption during the transition period from the requirements under section 57. The application must— be made before 1 January 2024; and be in the approved form.
