### sec.31 Grant of application
If the chief executive grants an exempt waste application, the chief executive must, within 5 business days after granting the application, give the applicant notice of the approval stating the following—
the application has been granted;
the waste that has been approved as exempt waste;
the period of the approval;
any conditions imposed on the approval.
The period of the approval must not be more than 3 years.
If the chief executive imposes a condition on the approval that is not the same, or substantially the same, as a condition agreed to or asked for by the applicant, the notice must also include or be accompanied by an information notice for the decision to impose the condition.
