### sec.253 When waste audit required If the chief executive reasonably suspects that a person is contravening or has contravened a prescribed provision, the chief executive may give the person (the recipient ) a notice requiring the person to commission an audit of the matter (a waste audit ), and to give a report (a waste report ) on the audit to the chief executive, under this chapter. The notice must— state the grounds on which the requirement is made; and outline the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds; and state the scope of the waste audit; and state the day (at least a reasonable period after the notice is given) by which the recipient must give the waste report to the chief executive. The notice must include or be accompanied by an information notice for the decision to give the notice. In this section— prescribed provision means section 56 (2) , 57 (2) or (3) , 58 (2) , 60 (2) , (4) or (6) , 61 (2) or (3) , 67 (1) , 68 (2) , 69 (2) , 72 (1) , 72A , 72X , 72Y (2) , 72Z (2) , 73A (2) , 73B (1) or (2) , 101 , 104 , 301E or 301F . s 253 amd 2013 No. 6 s 46 ; 2019 No. 2 s 13 (sec.253-ssec.1) If the chief executive reasonably suspects that a person is contravening or has contravened a prescribed provision, the chief executive may give the person (the recipient ) a notice requiring the person to commission an audit of the matter (a waste audit ), and to give a report (a waste report ) on the audit to the chief executive, under this chapter.
